Baby Nion was born!!

Was going for my weekly checkz today... hopefully i'm already dilated and ready to give birth to Baby... alas, after Dr Wong did an internal examination, she told me that i wasn't even dilated at all!! 晴天霹雳!! hahah...

anyway, she did an ultrasound to check; the amniotic fluid was extremely low... in fact, we didn't see much of the dark spaces during the ultrasound... this may not be good as Baby may be stressed if there's not enough fluid around for Baby to move around... so Dr. Wong ordered a check on Baby's heartbeat; Baby was beating between 130-160 beats/min which was good... anyway, since the amniotic fluid was low, Dr. Wong decided that we could induce Baby today!!

I was induced at 9am and was told to return to the clinic at 1.30pm to check for any dilation... my mother-in-law was with me all this while and she was very worried, i think... and she was giving me suggestions like maybe it is better that we stick around in the hospital, etc. etc. etc... alamak!! the clinic nurse was saying that we need to walk to help in the dilation process lor... i was making faces at the nurses and they helped me to convince her that we should walk to novena square and back... hahah...

1.30pm... back to the clinic... still no dilation at all!! aaaaarrrggggghhh!! i actually didn't feel any contractions too... alamak, Baby ah Baby~ are you coming out today?!? in the end, Dr. Wong had to give me another pill to induce me... and now, no matter what i should be dilated by 6pm... so she ordered me to check in to hospital then and have the nurse pushed me to the labour ward at 6.30pm... couldn't go home to take my barang barang lar... so called Nick to pick Niko up to return home to get all the things that i needed... was in the resting ward at 2.30pm... Nick and Niko only showed up at 4pm... was having some contractions already but was trying to keep Niko company for most of the time just in case I didn't have time for that when Baby is home...

6pm... the nurse came for me... told Niko to behave and bid Niko goodbye... told my mother-in-law to bring Niko home 1st; anything Nick will keep her informed...

6.30pm, the labour ward nurse was preparing me for labour... contractions was coming abt 10-15 minutes apart... Dr. Wong came in to check on me at 7pm and i was 3-4cm dilated!! but she was saying may not be giving birth before 12 midnight lar... anyway, the labour nurse was there to observe me and so no worries... and Dr. Wong went off...

7.30pm... contractions were coming in 5 minutes interval and seeing me so 痛苦, the labour nurse checked on me and i was 5cm dilated!! wah!! so fast!! so pain also!! gas!! i need the gas!!... the nurse then gave me the gas to relieve the pain~ wah lao... buey tahan...

8pm... 2-3 minutes interval!! 7 cm dilated!! think i need epidural!!??!! 救命呀!! the pain is unbearable!! felt so much like a very bad case of constipation!! was asking Nick whether i need epidural and couldn't make out what he was saying... the labour nurse then called Dr. Wong to come in...

8.20pm... think i was almost going into coma ley... dunno what's going on liao~ but suddenly can feel a lot of movement in the labour ward... heard someone telling me to breathe deeply and another telling me not to push etc etc etc... alamak... 杀了我吧!! i was in extreme pain... heard someone commenting Baby's heartbeat dropping... !!??!! Baby u have to be strong ya...!!

8.30pm... someone came into the labour ward... heard Nick saying it was Dr. Wong and Dr. Keoy (Baby's Pae)... I was fully dilated!! and Baby is ready to pop out liao!! by then i was in so much pain that i think i didn't have much strength to push already!!

8.45pm... the nurse was telling me to push as Baby's head can be seem liao... no strength also must push lar... 1, 2 PUSH!!... Baby's head popped out!! need another to push Baby out~ 1, 2 PUSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dunno how to describe the feeling but hey Baby's out!! and is a BOY!! time was 2054hr~
